I see you. You are constantly posting on social media, blasting your list with emails, and creating new trainings – left and right – but not much is happening 🥺

It probably feels like your audience is sleeping (crickets…🦗).

I want to help you NOT be cricket music to the people who most need your help.

I love this quote (read it twice):

“If you try to appeal to everyone, you will ultimately appeal to no one.”

Right on!

There are BILLIONS of people online.

You need to stand out and speak a specific language to the people who most need your help because they have a problem only you can solve (aka your ideal client)

Even if you already have a business with clients, to grow and scale, you gotta get this right (for real this time).

Remember, the goal is to get laser clear on who it is you want to work with and how you can help them, so you can attract only those people.

Open up the ideal client template now to get started.

It’s time to play the imagine game…

The Thoughts That Keep Us Awake

It’s 3 am. Instead of sleeping, your mind is racing. You are tossing and turning. You desperately move out to the couch, double up on melatonin, drink warm tea.

But nothing bursts the worry bubble.

What obsessive thoughts are keeping your ideal clients awake?

The Two Types of Obsessive Thoughts:

Type #1: Fears & Frustrations (mostly what we see in health & wellness)

Also known as, the painful emotions or physical symptoms we DON’T want.

“If I don’t lose this weight, I will never find a husband.”

“I am so overwhelmed. I’m afraid that I will lose my job because of this anxiety.”

“I worry that menopause is going to cause me to be fat and miserable.”

“I wish I didn’t have this ugly acne.”

Type #2: Desires/Goals/Status

These are more like a “nice to have”.

They keep us awake because they get us excited about the future.

“I want a job that makes me truly happy.”

“I want to be happy and healthy.”

“I need to find a supplement to fix my adrenal fatigue.”

Jump on over to the worksheet now and start brainstorming what these thoughts are that keep your dream clients awake (the worksheet will help you organize your thoughts).

Need help figuring this out. Keep on reading for some tips.

How to Discover Your Ideal Client’s Obsessions

Here’s how to get into their heads & size up their inner tickings.

Tip #1:  It’s possible that YOU were your ideal client – once upon a time.

If that’s true for you, then think back to your personal experience to remember your mindset, behaviors, and experiences when you were still struggling with this problem. Obviously, this is the easiest route to getting answers, although if much time has passed, it can be challenging.

Go slow here. Don’t rush. Spread this work out over several days.

Tip #2: Do research

  • Join Facebook groups where your ideal client is hanging out and listen & learn.
  • Read comments on popular niche-related blogs or videos. People are happy to reveal their fears & frustrations through the comments they leave here. Pure gold!
  • Go to Amazon and find books on your niche. Read the reviews
  • Survey your email list and/or the members of your Facebook community

For instance, here is a quickie email template to customize for your list:

Subject: Quick Question

Hey,

Would you mind doing me a quick favor?

I’m doing a little research and I’d love to get your answer to the following question:

What’s your biggest struggle right now with your health (or anything else you want to know)?

Just click reply and I’ll receive your answer direct to my inbox.

Thanks!

On Facebook, you could use a shorter version as a status update:

Hey! Just doing a bit of quick research. Would you mind taking 30 seconds to tell me: What’s your biggest struggle right now with your health? Thanks!

Content Creation Gets Easy

The good news is that the more you engage with your ideal client, the clearer you’ll get and can come back to this worksheet and update it.

Even better news…

Now that you are getting to know your ideal client inside and out, it’s so much easier to command their attention – which is the whole point of creating content right?

Every time you sit down to write content, open up this worksheet and cuddle up next to your dream client – speaking their language, focusing on their pain points, and sharing your solution to their problems.

So get on it. Take the steps now to get this right so you can connect with the people who need your help.
